Jaycar and RTM Darwin now at Jape Homemaker Village

Jape Homemaker Village provides customers with a greater range of choice and value by welcoming two new tenants to the centre, Jaycar and Road Tech Marine (RTM).

Both stores had an existing presence in the Top End, with Jaycar in Coconut Grove and RTM in Winnellie.

Now both Jaycar and RTM will be at the one centre following their successful relocation.

Centre Manager Terence Jape has worked closely with Tim Johnston, Jaycar’s General Manager – Property in recent months and is very pleased to have both brands join the centre.

“We are very excited to welcome Jaycar and RTM to the Jape Homemaker Village,” said Mr Jape.

“As soon as the right tenancy became available, Tim and his team jumped on the opportunity to relocate their Jaycar and RTM stores to our centre.

“Both Jaycar and RTM are iconic Australian brands and are a great addition to our diverse tenancy mix.”

The new Jaycar Darwin opened in late October and has a unique offering that fills a substantial gap in the local market.

“There are no other competitors in the hobby electronic market,” confirmed Mr Jape.

And more recently, the new RTM Darwin opened in early February.

“Outdoor pursuits such as camping were already very popular activities in the NT.

“And travel restrictions over the past two years created an even higher demand for local getaways.

“The addition of RTM to our tenancy mix further strengthens Jape Homemaker Village as Darwin’s premier retail destination for “all things outdoors”, complementing the range offered by BCF and Anaconda,” added Mr Jape.

The addition of Jaycar and RTM caps off a very positive growth period for the popular homemaker and lifestyle centre.

Despite the uncertainty of COVID, Jape Homemaker Village had seven new tenants open in the last 12 months.

Situated in the heart of the Northern Suburbs, 10km from the Darwin CBD and surrounded by one of Darwin’s largest population nodes, Jape Homemaker Village draws customers from all over Darwin, Palmerston and beyond.

With the completion of their $11 million refurbishment in 2015, Jape Homemaker Village is Darwin’s largest and most successful homemaker and lifestyle centre.
