Agent of the Year 2023- David Mark, Marked Property

David Mark from Marked Property is the LFRA 2023 Agent of the Year Award winner.

David, Director of Commercial Potential at Marked Property, a specialist commercial leasing and development consultancy in Victoria, took home the coveted prize at the Gala Awards Dinner late last year.

The Agent of the Year Award is voted for by LFRA members, who are asked to consider agents’ motivation to exceed client and business expectations, commitment to high quality customer service, contribution to the Large Format Retail real estate profession, and how they uphold best practice standards for the sector.

David describes potential value being marked by size, shape, and location.

“Marked Property delivers coordinated strategies to realise true potential through extensive analysis, data, as well as their rich network of partnerships and affiliations to deliver projects to fulfill the needs of the surrounding community,” he says.

“Assets are then carefully considered alongside each opportunity to meticulously anticipate all outcomes.”

David leads a team that works multinational corporations to first-time operators, offering a vast range of services to meet at both ends of the business spectrum.

David began his career working as a property investment manager at ISPT and as a Board Member for the City of Melbourne. He then became a Non-Executive Director at Temple Beth Israel, and a Partner at Burgess Rawson.

Currently, Marked Property manages more than $1.2 billion in total value of leased assets and services a total of 204,834 sqm.

With operations across five states, Marked Property has completed 12 projects, leased 32 fuel and fast-food sites and 24 childcare centres.

David says Large Format Retal is Marked Property’s key sector, and that the depth of product range currently available makes it one of the fastest-growing retail sectors in the country.

“Large Format Retail thrives serves a broad customer profile, seven days a week, which means it offers convenience,” he says.

Marked Property has extensive experience across both greenfield and brownfield projects.

It implements tenancy mix strategies, which have been traditionally used in shopping centres, to drive the development of Large Format Retail precincts.

Offering a full suite of services enables Marked Property to bring projects to fruition at all stages of their life cycle.

David commented recently, “In the world of Large Format Retail, we are not merely agents; we are architects of experiences, custodians of customer satisfaction, and innovators shaping the future of retail landscapes.

“Let this award be a catalyst for further collaboration, exploration, and a commitment to excellence.

“Together, we can shape the future of Large Format Retail, creating environments that inspire, delight, and make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

This award is a testament to the impressive work David and Marked Property has engaged in over the years and we look forward to the ongoing collaboration in their future success.
