Sector moves and new appointments

 

Claire Burdett has been promoted to Director, Urban Planning at Colliers. Claire has over 20 years’ experience in planning consultancy services across Australia and the UK, advising clients and delivering complex projects across the retail, commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors. She has particular expertise in retail and Large Format Retail planning, working with leading retailers, landowners and property groups, including Spotlight Group, IKEA, and Beacon Lighting to navigate planning pathways and support delivery and growth of their property portfolios. Her work spans strategic planning, site identification and due diligence, planning and rezoning proposals, development applications, State Significant projects and stakeholder engagement. Claire also has significant experience in planning policy, including LFRA advocacy on planning frameworks for the sector.

 

Tom Spinks has been promoted to Head of Growth & Partnerships at Major Media. Tom is a commercial growth leader with experience across strategic partnerships, national account management, customer experience and business development. In his new role, he will focus on accelerating growth through strategic partnerships, customer expansion and market development, while continuing to build relationships with clients and industry partners. Major Media provides end-to-end signage and brand identification solutions across Australia, spanning consultation, project management, design, manufacture and installation.

 

Steve Evans has been appointed Managing Director of Leffler Simes, succeeding Chris Goodman, who stepped down after 15 years in the role. Steve has been with Leffler Simes for more than 30 years and a Director for more than 25 years. He established the firm’s Melbourne office more than two decades ago and has since helped grow the practice into one of Melbourne’s leading architectural firms, with a diverse portfolio of projects. Chris will remain a Director of Leffler Simes and continue to support Steve and the broader team through the leadership transition.
