New $100M Large Format Retail centre planned for Bacchus Marsh
A new retail destination known as Bacchus Marsh Central (BMC), in the Moorabool region, is expected to commence construction in first quarter of 2026, with opening targeted for Easter 2027.
Plans for the proposed 15,000 sqm Large Format Retail Centre, including pad sites, have been lodged with the Victorian State Government’s Development Facilitation Unit.
The project, expected to deliver significant economic, employment and community benefits to Bacchus Marsh and the surrounding region, will be developed at the corner of Parwan Road and Fisken Street near key transport links.
The project will also include a mix of Large Format Retail tenancies, lifestyle and homemaker stores, food and beverage offerings, ample parking and complimentary landscaping. Once complete, the centre is expected to become a major commercial hub supporting the region’s growing population.
Developer, The Gull Group, is progressing the precinct subject to planning approval. Colliers has been appointed as leasing agent, with agreements already secured with Bunnings as the anchor tenant, along with other major retailers.
Jake Beckwith, Associate Director, Retail Leasing at Colliers, commented, “Bacchus Marsh Central will be the first true dedicated Large Format Retail precinct in the Moorabool region.
“It’s a gamechanger for the local retail landscape, bringing a level of scale and amenity that hasn’t been available before. This is exactly the type of development national brands are seeking to service growing regional markets.”
