Beacon Lighting significantly expands across Australia

For over fifty years, Beacon Lighting has been helping Australians light up their homes with their range of specialist products and services.

Over the last six months the Beacon Lighting team has experienced significant growth, allowing for several new stores to be built across the country.

With these exciting new additions, Beacon Lighting has been able to make their products and services more accessible to people around Australia, both in cities and in regional areas.

The new stores required a lot of hard work from the team and took over a year to complete.

Having three brand new stores opening on the same day was a first for Beacon Lighting, as new stores require a considerable amount of time and effort to prepare for customers.

In addition to renovating and building the spaces, each store underwent six weeks of fit-outs to ensure that the showrooms were ready for opening day.

One of the many successful new stores was built in Traralgon in regional Victoria, where locals previously had to drive over 50km to access their closest Beacon Lighting store.

The location in Traralgon was previously a car yard and mechanics workshop before it was purchased by Beacon Lighting.

In twelve months the site was transformed into the store it is today.

With this brand new store, the local community have been able to shop the products they need without having to travel long distances, making it easier for them to find exactly what they need.

“Beacon Lighting was thrilled to be able to purchase through their part ownership in a property trust and develop a new Beacon Lighting store in the regional town of Traralgon Victoria,” noted Beacon Lighting CEO Glen Robinson.

“The development was conducted smoothly, and the store presents exceptionally well in the main large format retail location in Traralgon with neighbours in The Good Guys, Forty Winks and Harvey Norman.”

The new Beacon Lighting store in Burleigh Heads was also met with the same success, with sales continuing to grow even after the opening.

This store was built from the ground up, as their previous store in Burleigh Heads was no longer large enough to display their entire range of lights and ceiling fans.

Glen Robinson commented that “The Beacon Group were also excited to relocate their strong performing store in Burleigh Heads QLD to a brand new location just across the carpark from the existing store.

“The new larger location is trading above expectations.”

Beacon Lighting also renovated and opened an exciting new store in Hawthorn VIC.

The existing building was renovated and updated to better suit Beacon Lighting’s needs with plenty of space to display their range of products.

This large, central store has been designed with innovative new technology to make the shopping experience even smoother for customers.

“Lastly Beacon Lighting relocated their Camberwell store to Hawthorn, which presents the product range much better in a larger store footprint with neighbours in Bunnings, Snooze and Bed Bath and Table,” said Mr Robinson.

After the monumental effort it would have taken to renovate and open three brand new stores on the same day, it will be interesting to see what is next on the horizon for the Beacon Lighting team.
