OZ Design Furniture took their Digital Marketing to new heights last year

The ability to reach your market place is ever evolving.

We’ve all embraced digital marketing into our marketing mix quite some time ago. However, 2020 and 2021 has really tested brands on how they connect on a deeper level with their customers.

Restrictions introduced across the country and individual states and territories meant that habitual life was at a complete stand still and no one knew for how long.

As a predominantly bricks and mortar business, OZ Design Furniture like so many others had to rapidly evolve their marketing strategy and media mix in early 2020. With such uncertain times the business needed to be agile and protect their marketing investments.

OZ Design quickly adapted their digital strategy to connect and communicate with their customers on a deeper level. As digital channels were the only touch point and interaction it counted more than ever before.

Melbourne endured intense restrictions that meant no one was allowed to leave their homes or travel outside a 5km radius unless you were an essential worker.

To combat the inability for customers to visit in store, OZ Design introduced free metro shipping with a minimal spend for the region. This effectively meant that OZ Design’s only ‘open’ store was e-com for the first time in 41 years of business.

The website, social media, eDM’s and e-books were the primary source of communication with customers and prospects.

While so many Australian’s were cooped up at home OZ Design launched their Boundless Living Spring campaign: Destination Home.

The concept: As we find ourselves in continuing, unpredictable situations, our homes are our one, safe place. Spring 2020 OZ Design hoped to help those adjust to these changes and give them the chance to create a home that feels like it is absolutely the best place to be.

To inspire customers the OZ Design Creative team worked remotely to educate and ignite interest among customers with a virtual interior design service.

Taking the digital experience for customers to new heights.

The service was launched across key digital marketing channels inviting customers to submit snaps of their rooms and a brief of who they are and what styles they are drawn to.

The creative team worked like busy bees pulling boundless interior furniture and homewares together into a custom mood board for their new clients virtually.

A personalised experience that educated and inspired customers to transact digitally who once would have only shopped in-store.

To compliment the campaign the team launched three e-books, two for spring and one for summer that reflected popular travel destinations inspiring customers to bring those culturally rich, paradise inspired, sun-drenched vibes into Australian’s homes.

As the business moves through 2021, the digital marketing strategy continues to be of the upmost importance.

The team continues to expand to support the business as OZ Design continues to serve Australians with curated collections of quality furniture and homewares.
