Stonebridge Property Group is a Tier 1 owner-operated commercial agency.

Established over 16 years ago, Stonebridge Property Group is now a powerhouse alternative to the major Australian Agencies.

The business has offices in all three eastern seaboard states but offer sales, leasing and asset management services across Australia.

Stonebridge is a client-led agency, growing significantly in response to client needs and expectations. In this instance, clients are members of the Large Format Retail Association (LFRA).

Each partner clients deal with has a vested interest in their business, which fosters open collaboration, as well as the sharing of ideas and dialogue, as each aspect of the business reinforces the company standing.

The Stonebridge Asset Management division kicked off around seven years ago. Over this time the business has managed a handful of Large Format Retail assets.

Partner of Stonebridge Property Group, Peter Cortis-Jones, explains his objective is to build the expertise within the Large Format Retail division.

From his own experience managing over two-dozen different Large Format Retail Assets, he is looking forward to bringing this specialisation to Stonebridge.

The beauty of Stonebridge is that it works across all aspects of Retail Property.

As a business Stonebridge has sold a number of the largest and best performing Large Format Retail centres around the country.

Stonebridge were involved in the sale of Helensvale Homeworld on the Gold Coast and Crossroads Casula in NSW for record prices in the mid to high 200 million, respectively.

They also have a division dedicated to smaller-scale Large Format Retail developments.

Stonebridge is open to helping all members of the LFRA whether it be site selection, negotiations, leasing or management.

At the end of the day, it’s about expanding relationships with others in the sector and, with this in mind, they encourage members just to reach out and ask.

Stonebridge responds to what clients are looking for and as a business are growing organically as they reach their expands.

One main difference is that it’s a private business with National Scale. The business has over 60 staff and this tally is growing all the time.

The business is unique in being owned by the partners and not a bunch of unrelated shareholders.

The benefit of partner lead agencies is that each and every partner has a vested interest in the wider business, strengthening the foundation.

At present the focus is ‘retail’ so there is a huge amount of depth in all things retail. The Large Format Retail space is a specialist offshoot of this, so they are eager to keep learning and adapting within this specialist asset class in order to offer the best service possible as a business.

Stonebridge are looking to help those in the Large Format Retail space. For 17 years prior, Mr Cortis-Jones was working in house for a Family Office without any ability to offer those services externally.

Now, he believes he can offer retailer led solutions which is a big deal having spent over 20 years exclusively on the landlord side.

The business is already dealing with Large Format Retail sales and developments. They are simply bolting on the balance of specialist Large Format Retail agency services.
