HomeCo — Appointment of Chief Operating Officer

As we continue to mature as a dynamic business on a clear path to significant growth in our operations, I have exciting news I would like to share with everyone.

I am pleased to confirm that we have now appointed Sid Sharma to commence in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) with us.  He commenced as COO in June 2019.

Sid has extensive retail operations and property experience and has previously held executive roles at DEXUS, Woolworths and Westpac across leasing, asset management, developments and operations.  Most recently, he was COO at SCA Property Group, an ASX-listed real estate company with a multi-billion dollar portfolio of convenience-based shopping centres across Australia.

In his new role at Home Co, Sid will be leading and directing our property activities to ensure delivery of a uniform approach to operational performance across the portfolio, including development of our business processes and systems.  He will develop and manage the real estate function, including asset management, leasing, leasing administration, development, tenancy delivery, customer experience, planning and operational risk.  He will work with all our business functions within Home Co to oversee and manage portfolio performance.

Also, we have expanded our leasing team.  Dominic Monaco and Jonathan Kahanoff joined us as Leasing Executives in Victoria.  Their appointments reflect the size and scale of our portfolio in Victoria and the significant future opportunities for Home Co in that market.  They will both be based at Home Co Box Hill.

Dominic commenced with us on 1 April 2019.  He is an experienced retail leasing specialist and has worked with many of Australia’s leading retail groups including Chemist Warehouse, Super Retail Group and more recently consulting to SCA Property Group.

Jonathan commenced with us in late April 2019.  He has over 15 years of retail leasing experience, including at Colonial First State and Jones Lang LaSalle.  Most recently, he has been working at QIC for the last 5 years.
