Deluca Corporation marks 30th anniversary with fitting celebration

Developer Nic De Luca and the team at Deluca Corporation marked their 30th anniversary in style at the Emporium Terrace Rooftop Bar in Southbank, Brisbane.
With panoramic views on display, about 140 guests gathered on the rooftop to celebrate three decades of growth innovation and community connection.
Since its founding in 1994, Deluca Corporation has grown from a small property venture into a diversified group with an annual turnover of around $250 million. The company’s construction, development and property portfolio and pipeline now cover Large Format Retail, office, industrial, retail, fuel, fast food and residential projects.
Over thirty years, Deluca has become one of the region’s busiest builders and developers having delivered billions of dollars’ worth of projects, shaping skylines and neighbourhoods throughout Queensland and Northern NSW. Landmark projects span industrial precincts, residential apartments and major commercial / retail hubs. Beyond bricks and mortar, Deluca has supported local charities and community initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to giving back.
Guests enjoyed a selection of small plates alongside savoury bites and signature cocktails. A modern jazz duo provided the soundtrack as Brisbane’s city lights twinkled below. The relaxed atmosphere allowed everyone to catch up and reflect on the shared journey that began with the company’s first development in 1994.
In attendance were a mix of past and present staff, clients, tenants, property agents, financiers and local leaders. Logan Mayor Jon Raven and his wife Ali joined property investor Glen Wright and Juliette Wright from GIVIT to toast the occasion. Marty Green, National General Manager at St George Bank, and Clare Stewart, Chief Executive of Youngcare, offered their congratulations. Representatives from Bunnings, Goodman, McDonalds, 711, Ampol and Guzman y Gomez added to the sense of occasion and underscored the company’s strong industry relationships.
One of the evening’s highlights was a video showcasing the power of relationships at Deluca. The montage featured clients and colleagues past and present alongside reflections from staff about Nic’s leadership and their experiences working at the company. It underlined how collaboration and trust have been at the heart of Deluca’s success. The video also welcomed Ben De Luca, the next generation to enter the family business and carry forward the legacy founded and built over the last 30 years.
The formal presentations began with a speech from the Lord Mayor of Logan, who congratulated Deluca on its milestone and lauded its contribution to the city’s growth. Nic’s son Ben De Luca took to the microphone to speak about the company’s future direction and share what advice his father’s younger self might have given him back in 1994.
With humour and warmth, Ben encouraged everyone to embrace challenges, trust instinct and prioritise strong teams as the company moves forward.
Founder Nic De Luca closed the presentations by emphasising the importance of relationships, mentorship and legacy. He spoke passionately about nurturing the next generation of leaders to ensure Deluca keep relationships as its primary focus and remains at the forefront of innovation and responsible growth. He thanked clients’ colleagues and community members for their trust and support over the years.
At the end of the formal presentations, an entertaining saxophone show lit up the room and canapés, drinks and conversations continued to flow. Guests left the night feeling inspired by Deluca Corporation’s achievements and energised for the journey ahead, united in a vision of building communities, shaping futures and leaving a legacy that endures.
