The Beacon Group has enjoyed a long association with the Les Twentyman foundation led by this generous and inspirational leader in Les. There are not many in this world who demonstrate such a lifelong passion for helping others in need. We're thrilled to announce another store opening event, this time the grand opening of our newest showroom in Gregory Hills! Beacon Gregory Hills is a spectacular space, spanning over 1000sqm and offering the complete Beacon experience, including a Trade room and Beacon Studio. We're delighted to welcome this beautiful addition to the Beacon network. Located in South-West Sydney, amidst burgeoning residential areas like Oran Park, Gledswood Hills, Edmondson Park, & Emerald Hills, our Gregory Hills store is conveniently situated in a Homeco Centre, just opposite a prominent Bunnings store. A huge round of applause to Borjanka Lucic, our exceptional project manager, and the dedicated team who worked tirelessly to bring this showroom to life! Special thanks to our leadership team and store manager Nigel, along with the incredible individuals - Cherie, Tania T, Jamal, Sharon D, Tamila, Sebastian, Shellea, Jane, Kianna, Lauren, & Esam - for their outstanding efforts in setting up Gregory Hills. We have officially opened our new Beacon Group Support Centre office, situated right above our flagship Nunawading showroom. This state-of-the-art space embodies our commitment to fostering collaboration and creativity, thanks to its innovative open-office design. It's a true beacon of inspiration for our team. The entire fit out of the office was skillfully designed by Foolscap Studios with a focus on a collaborative environment. This meant designing the space with open-plan desks, a large town hall and kitchen for social engagement, and private booths for focused work and digital meetings. Notably, the lighting fixtures above our hotdesking workstations were custom-designed by Masson For Light, offering customisable glare-free lighting for our store support staff. We look forward to the positive impact this space will have on our team and our continued commitment to excellence.

Beacon Lighting are delighted to share our significant success last week at the Large Format Retail Association (LFRA) Awards, clinching two prestigious accolades. Firstly, we were honoured with the Marketing Campaign of the Year title in recognition of our outstanding efforts over the last 12 months to rejuvenate the Beacon Trade program. This comprehensive initiative included the introduction of a fresh brand identity, a revamped website, dedicated trade desks in our showrooms, and the implementation of a sophisticated customer engagement platform. Our innovative multi-channel strategy involved substantial investments in new technology, enabling us to gain insights into customer behaviour and craft a more personalised experience for our trade members. Part of this challenge was to re-educate our valued trade members, emphasising Beacon's transformation into a dedicated business partner, and this award stands as a testament to the resounding success of our efforts. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our talented internal marketing team led by Prue Robinson, our Marketing Director, and Kate McCormack, our Group Marketing Manager, the visionary leadership of CEO Glen Robinson, Damien Cummins in his pivotal role as Trade Executive General Manager, and the entire Beacon team who joined us on this journey. In addition to our Marketing Campaign of the Year award, we proudly secured the Best Application of Innovation award for our ground-breaking product Sanso, the world's first ceiling-mounted air purifier with a light. This revolutionary product offers a holistic solution, providing both air purification and lighting benefits from a single, ceiling-mounted product. Sanso was further honoured earlier this year with the prestigious 2023 Australian Good Design Award, Best In Class within the Domestic Appliance Category. We express our gratitude to our talented in-house product designer, David Kruse, who developed Sanso from start to finish, and the entire in-house product design team at Beacon who traverse the globe to bring over 600 products a year to the Australian Market, for their dedication to developing world-class products and traversing the globe in search of inspiration. These accolades reflect not only our commitment to innovation but also our global pursuit of excellence in product design. As we express gratitude to our talented team and dedicated partners, we remain inspired to continue pushing boundaries and setting new benchmarks in our industry.

Last week, our marketing team attended the Real Media Awards and took home Specialty Retailer of the Year for our 2023 Winter Living campaign! 🎉 Congratulations to the Beacon Marketing team for this incredible win, and a special shout out to our Creative Director, Diana Di Corleto, our Retail Marketing Executive, Kristen Hooper, and our amazing design team with Holly Dowding, Alana Nanasca, Angela Rielly, Suhani Gupta, Julian Villegas, Geni Kuckhahn & Sabrina Ting for all the hard work they put into this campaign.

🌟 Shining Star award winner 🌟 Calvin, our System Application Manager, has been instrumental in an essential business project. As a key player in our project team, Calvin has been working on our EDI solution for Beacon International to secure Home Depot in the USA as a client for our fan products. To secure them, Calvin went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks to his tireless efforts, we are ecstatic to announce that Home Depot has officially provided Beacon with their EDI certification, meaning we can now smoothly proceed with supplying fans to the USA market. Calvin, you've achieved something remarkable, and it's time to celebrate your well-deserved success. Your dedication and hard work are a testament to the exceptional talent we have at Beacon Lighting. We recently hosted an incredible open for inspection event at The Block. The success of this event was a testament to our incredible team and we would like to extend our thanks to each of them. First and foremost, we'd like to extend a big shoutout to Kristen, our Retail Marketing Executive, whose dedication and tireless efforts made this day possible. Thanks also to Mandi and Anton (pictured below), the Lighting Designers behind the creative lighting plans on The Block in this season, who were also available at the event to discuss their designs. Of course, let's not forget to applaud all the other talented lighting designers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring these spaces to life.
