Caringbah Super Centre reopens with $34 million transformation now complete

Sutherland Shire residents can experience the new-look home and lifestyle offering with doors officially open to the refurbished Caringbah Super Centre.

The $34 million transformation has delivered 25 stores, of which 7 are new and 11 were refurbished or expanded, as well as family-friendly amenities and a new selection of food and coffee options.

The centre was re-designed with a focus on convenience and the needs of the growing community.

Its revitalised interiors and unobstructed storefronts provide a bright, welcoming space to browse between stores; reflecting the relaxed coastal vibe that characterises life in the Shire.

Darren Holland, CEO of Aventus Group, says that delivering the new-look Caringbah Super Centre was as much about providing a revitalised shopping experience as it was about creating an amazing place for locals to transform their home and lifestyle.

“Caringbah Super Centre has been the home and lifestyle destination for the Sutherland Shire for over 25 years.

“The centre has undergone a complete transformation and we are so pleased to be able to deliver a new and elevated shopping experience for our local, house-proud Shire residents.

“As Australians spend more time than ever working, learning, and playing at home, we have created an oasis of home inspiration.

“I commend the Aventus team and I am extremely grateful to our retail partners and shoppers for their patience and support over the last year, particularly as we navigated the COVID-19 period,” Mr Holland said.

As the only dedicated homemaker centre in the Shire, Caringbah Super Centre houses national retailers including Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Fantastic Furniture, Freedom, James Lane, and Adairs.

Blaine Callard, CEO at Freedom, says: “Freedom has been a part of Caringbah Super Centre for more than 25 years.

“We are so proud of how our newly branded store has come together and are thrilled to see the many improvements across the centre.

“Our rebrand and new store design has exceeded expectations and we plan to use its design as a basis for future store refurbishments across Australia.”

Caringbah Super Centre is the only Large Format Retail centre in the Sutherland Shire and is located 20 kilometres south of Sydney’s CBD. It is home to 25 retailers offering home and lifestyle solutions, has 593 car parking spaces and 19,000m2 of gross leasable area (GLA).
